What you can sell with OurPay
Acceptable Use Policy — September 23, 2026
OurPay is a merchant of record for products and services. We welcome every lawful product and service, with no OurPay category exclusions. We assess what you actually sell, how you deliver it, and whether the payment method supports the transaction. Being a physical-product business, a service provider, or a marketplace is not, by itself, a reason to reject your application.
This policy applies to products, services, and transactions offered through OurPay. It forms part of the Seller Terms of Service. You must comply with the laws that apply to your business and customers, and with the terms of the payment providers used for your transactions.
Products and services
All lawful goods and services are eligible for sale through OurPay. Examples include:
- Software, subscriptions, apps, and developer tools.
- Downloads, books, courses, memberships, and creative work.
- Physical goods, including products that you manufacture or are authorized to resell.
- Professional services, consulting, design, development, repairs, and other service work.
- Advertising, sponsorships, and community access.
- Other business models, including marketplaces and fundraising.
These examples are not an exhaustive list. You can sell different kinds of Products through the same account, including Products that do not fit a preset category. Human delivery, authorized resale, custom pricing, or adding a new category does not by itself require separate category approval or a waiting period. Acceptance of a Product does not mean that every payment method, country, currency, fulfillment model, or payout capability is available.
Your responsibilities to customers
Describe your products, prices, delivery times, refund terms, and recurring charges accurately. Sell only goods and content you own or are authorized to supply. Obtain any licenses and consents your business requires.
You are responsible for fulfilling your orders. For physical goods this includes shipping, tracking, returns, and any customs obligations. For services it includes the agreed work and delivery schedule. OurPay's payment tools do not provide warehousing, shipping, or service delivery.
Provide a working support contact and respond to disputes and refund requests. Keep records that show what the customer bought and how you fulfilled the order. Do not misrepresent a product, conceal the true seller, or disguise a transaction to avoid a provider's rules.
Activities we cannot support
You must not use OurPay for:
- Illegal goods or services, stolen property, counterfeit products, or unauthorized resale.
- Fraud, scams, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, bribery, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or deceptive claims and fabricated reviews.
- Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content, or trafficking.
- Unauthorized access to systems or personal data, malicious software, or infringement of intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights.
- Transactions with prohibited persons or destinations, or transactions prohibited by the applicable bank, payment provider, or card network.
- Bypassing authentication, verification, payment controls, or security protections; interfering with OurPay or another user's systems; or collecting payments for undisclosed third parties.
OurPay provides a hosted service. Third-party components retain their applicable license terms; this policy does not revoke rights granted under those licenses.
Requirements for the actual transaction
A category name does not trigger an OurPay ban or a separate category-based review. Some transactions require a license, a payment provider's prior approval, or a particular settlement arrangement. We identify those requirements from the actual activity, jurisdiction, and payment route, rather than treating every business in a category the same way.
Where a specific requirement applies, the necessary licenses, approvals, and operational support must be in place before accepting that transaction. If a provider prohibits the activity, that transaction cannot use that provider. Broad product eligibility does not mean every payment route or capability is available: OurPay does not currently provide general-purpose split settlements or escrow.
For example, accepting crypto for a product does not by itself make a business a crypto exchange. Selling through a marketplace does not by itself establish a need to hold or split funds. We review what the business actually does.
Payment providers and account review
Payment availability depends on your business, location, customers, and the provider enabled for your account. For example, transactions using PayPal are subject to PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy; transactions using Stripe are subject to Stripe's prohibited and restricted business rules. Other providers and banks have their own requirements.
We may request evidence of identity, ownership, authorization, licensing, delivery, or provider approval where relevant to the actual business or transaction. We may limit a payment method or suspend an activity when required by law or provider rules, or when there is specific evidence of fraud, abuse, or material customer harm. A category label, price, or general reference to risk tolerance alone is not a reason to reject a Product. Where lawful, we will explain the concrete issue and what information or change is needed, with an opportunity to request review.
If your business changes, update your details before using OurPay for the new activity. For a review of your use case, contact Gnanadeep or Abhinav Gudipati.
